FRom the BYM application: The Friend Publications Ltd publishes literature for the benefit of the Religious Society of Friends, for – historically (since 1843) – “the purpose of propagating the religious teaching of that Society and of promoting interest in its work.” We currently publish: a weekly newspaper, the Friend; Friends Quarterly; occasional books and a podcast. These are supported by a website (free to use at the top level, with full access granted to past issues for subscribers), an archive of The Friend 1914-18 and a social media presence. The Friend is undergoing a robust period of revitalisation, to meet increasing audience engagement. A vibrant The Friend can be a beacon for Quakers in Britain and globally to staunch the decline of Quakerism, as well as to improve participation in Quaker activities. It is also a vital way to foster the next generation of Quaker leaders. Joe to amend as appropriate.
